Terps football fans encouraged by 4-0 start

We asked readers if their level of confidence in Maryland football has changed after the Terps’ 4-0 start. Maryland was undefeated in nonconference play and opened Big Ten action with a commanding 27-10 win over Wisconsin.

It is difficult to win with a freshman quarterback, but all Malik Washington has done is impress and produce, and this young defense is fast and furious. I think it’s time to go bowling again, Maryland. Well done, coach Michael Locksley! — Burt Wils

The jury is still out. Malik Washington looks pretty decent so that’s a plus. But we’ve seen these starts before just to see them collapse. If they beat Washington at home, then I think I’ll believe that they can win 8-9 games and make a halfway decent bowl game. — Christopher Bressi
